Happy New Year!
The biggest thing I have to look forward to so far is moving to Shanghai after I’m finished in Korea. Otherwise, the rest of the year is an open book!
The Mountain Goats – “This Year”
The Mountain Goats are probably one of my favorite bands ever. “This Year” is also a fantastic song to start 2011 with.
On another note, I found this awesome map I’ve been meaning to share. The band’s singer and guitarist, John Darnielle, is probably one of the best lyricists in music. He’ll sing about anything, anywhere, in any time. So much so that one blogger put the effort into making a Google Map with all of the place-names mentioned from every single one of the band’s songs from the last 15+ years.
