At Tokyo-Narita

Well, I’m currently at Tokyo-Narita International after an 11 hour flight from San Francisco.

Flight was long (to say the least.) Sat next to a non-social, recent graduate of UNLV. She grew up in Japan, but went to the states for a degree is Hotel Management. Apparently, she has a job lined up at the Ritz-Carlton in Tokyo starting next month. That’s all I really heard from her.

Watched “Pineapple Express” on the tiny in-chair screens. And on an even smaller screen, which happened to be my iPod, I watched “The Dark Knight.” After straining my eyes on pixels I began to read Joseph Conrad’s “Heart of Darkness.”

Nearly done with it. But I can’t help but think of Francis Ford Coppola’s adaptation in the form of “Apocalypse Now.”

Good stuff.

In another hour or so I will be flying for 7 1/2 hours to Singapore! However, I arrive in the early morning, not in the afternoon as my itinerary stated.

Soooo, I bought some Wi-Fi to feverishly find a hostel or something to stay in until I can check into my dorm room. Kinda sucks.

No word yet from some emails I sent out, so I may have to wing it. A fellow SDSU/NTU student named Tommy flies in at the same time (don’t know which airline.) Maybe if I’m lucky enough to run into him at baggage claim he can give me a hand.

Hope all my blogs won’t be this boring 😛
